Re: light pollution

Please remember that solar-powered moon rays are easy to install but can't be turned off and can interfere with our nighttime viewing of the beautiful night sky!

Re WATER SAFETY and NO WAKES:

Please remember the maximum speed is 10 km/hr within 30 meters of ANY shoreline --
This includes the shoreline out on the islands. You may think you're out in the middle of the lake, but for those of us on the islands, you're boating right in front of our shoreline.

And NO WAKE NEAR DOCKS --
Again, please remember there are docks out here on the islands. We get swamped by wake and waves more times than we should.

Please remember to extend the same boating courtesy to your mainland AND island neighbours, and we'll all be able to enjoy our cherished time at the cottage!

Thanks! :)

JUly 9 07; hello admin: please update this page:
TELEPHONES believe 911 is now available at Redstone

NOISE POLLUTION: excellent tip!

please also add: NIGHT LIGHT POLLUTION: with comment like " Haliburtion is in the country and at night it does get dark and your cottage neighbours appreciate the darkness that allows excellent night sky viewing, please keep all your out door lighting to an absolute minimum (and no 'street lights' at any time PLEASE) and advise you guests that it is dark at night and please equip your guests (and family), should they wish to venture outside in the dark with a rechargable flashlight! "
